A House a day keeps unemployment away

A House a day keeps unemployment away
A House a day keeps unemployment away
When compiling a Project Implementing Plan (PIP) we gather all the information required to streamline the production process. Moladi construction system is capable to produce a shell per day.  The "assembly teams" are trained up and production processes are streamlined to ensure that no "bottle necks" are created in the assembly line (construction process). The foundation team produces raft foundation or slabs at the rate required and are left to cure for seven days before the superstructure team assembles the formwork or moulds on the foundation.  The formwork is erected in four hours and filled in two. The amount of workers will either increase or decrease depending on the size of the top structure (square meterage of moladi formwork). The formwork is removed the next day in two hours and re-erected on the next foundation. The timeframe for the production cycle is seven days for the foundat…

Purpose Economy - Pope Francis

Purpose Economy - Pope Francis
As a Jew it is odd to find myself writing about Pope Francis, much less on the eve of Hanukah. But on the day before Thanksgiving I can’t help but express by deep gratitude to Pope Francis for focusing his first major "apostolic exhortation" on the need for the economy to evolve to serve people.

Pope Francis has courageously stood up and defined for the Catholic people and for the rest of us a vision for how we need to move forward. It is a vision that puts human purpose at its core. It is a vision for a Purpose Economy.

"We have created new idols. The worship of the ancient golden calf ... has returned in a new and ruthless guise in the idolatry of money and the dictatorship of an impersonal economy lacking a truly human purpose."
The Industrial and Information Economy have done so much to advance progress, increase how long we live and the quality of those lives. But, we can do better and…

Home Construction - moladi The Moladi system consists of a reusable and recyclable plastic concrete forms as a mold, which is filled with mortar (stone-less concrete) and a special chemical additive. This framework can be removed and reused up to 50 times. According to the founder Hennie Botes, the brickless walls can withstand all types of weather.

The formwork is lightweight allowing easy transportation. Due to the simplicity in design and the repetitive application scheme, construction costs can be reduced significantly. The Moladi model is not only cost-effective but fast too. The wall structure of a house can be completed within one day. A further plus point, especially in remote areas, is that the construction does not require heavy machinery or electricity.

With the motto “Train the unemployed to build for the homeless” Moladi combines constru…
